Clare County Council are currently inviting submissions on a new draft scheme for its Strategic Policy Committees 2019- 2024 The Strategic Policy Committees or SPCs as they are more commonly known are advisory committees that discuss and make recommendations on policies to Clare County Council. They are comprised of Councillors and external interests such as farming, business or community organisations. Clare PPN has seats on all of these committees and those seats will all be up for election again in September and member groups will be able to stand, nominate and vote for candidates for each seat. The draft scheme here lays out the rules and methods of operation for these committees and so we invite any comments you might have about how they work or how you would like to see them work so that we can make a submission to the council on it.
