Clare PPN is overseen by an elected board of volunteers known as a Secretariat. The Secretariat, which usually meets monthly, supports and oversees the work of the PPN staff between plenary meetings.

Any member group of Clare PPN can nominate someone for election to the Secretariat. The election is then open to all member groups. Secretariat membership must be drawn from each of Clare’s four Municipal Districts and from each of the PPN’s three colleges: Community & Voluntary, Social Inclusion and Environmental.

Secretariat members serve a three-year term. No person may serve more than two consecutive terms on the Secretariat.
